You can set up a MimioTeach system by yourself in minutes. Just follow these five simple steps * Connect one of the three available power options.
* Place the MimioTeach bar anywhere on the left side of your ordinary whiteboard.
* Plug the MimioHub receiver into a USB port on your computer.
* Connect your computer to a standard projector.
* Push the Interactive/Calibration button on the bar. MimioStudio software will lead you through this simple process, which is only necessary for first-time setup.
That's it. You're done. The MimioTeach bar integrates wirelessly with the MimioHub receiver to display your computer screen on your whiteboard via a projector.
In 2010 our classrooms underwent a long overdue revamp. As part of that revamp, we purchased mimio arms. We were able to retain our old whiteboards and the mimio connects to them. The beauty about the mimio is that you can remove the arm and take it outside to capture groupwork on the court, on a wall, on any surface really. Once you have recorded the work, bring the arm back, reattach it to your whiteboard and put it back into interactive mode. So that these mimio devices are not just another 'inactive' tool, this site is for us to record successes, hiccups and delicious moments.........
